National Teams

France has been a member of World Lacrosse since 2008, with the Men’s Field Lacrosse National Team competing in European and World Championships since.

At the most recent World Championships in San Diego, July 2023, France secured their highest ever ranking, at 18th in the world.

The goal for the Men’s National Team in the coming years is to maintain/improve this ranking while simultaneously integrating more homegrown players into the national squad.

Currently there is no national representation in the Women’s game, Box Lacrosse or Sixes, though this is something the AFL is working on developing, with a handful of events (in both Box and Sixes) occurring annually in France.
