Heritage Teams

Alongside the national teams, France Lacrosse runs heritage teams for players of French origin who wish to represent France Lacrosse at non-official events, such as heritage tournaments around the world.

Citizenship is not a requirement to play on our Heritage teams as we do not participate in World Lacrosse events. The Heritage programme is for all players who wish to represent their French heritage on the field, strengthen France Lacrosse's global presence and contribute to the growth of the game in France.

Come have a Memorial Day weekend to remember with the France Heritage Lacrosse Association!

France will be sending all fillable rosters (Mens Senior, U19, U15, U13 & Women’s Senior and U15) to Boston for the Heritage Cup. The Heritage Cup is an annual charity lacrosse tournament to raise awareness and funds for international lacrosse across the globe.

The French school system is the largest international schooling program in the world and the Alliances Françaises is the largest expatriate organisation in the world. We hope to identify lacrosse players of French descent or simple lovers of French culture to come together for a weekend of lacrosse and fun.

The tournament will be held in Boston at Regis College and Weston High School, May 23-26. Each team will be guaranteed at least 5 games (2x20 halves) over the weekend as well as participating in a variety of activities: tickets to the NCAA tournament games as a group, team/community event in Boston on Saturday night (interest dependent), stay and live at the Regis College dorms (space dependent). All teams will be coached by a current Association of France Lacrosse vetted coach.

There will be no tryouts for these teams unless there is overwhelming interest, just sign up and we will see you in Boston! If you are lacking teammates for your age group, there are no eligibility requirements, so reach out to teams and French schools in your area and see if they have anyone interested!

We do have the ability to send multiple teams in each age group, again there are no eligibility requirements for this tournament so if you aren't sure please sign up anyway! The goal of the weekend is to make new friends, experience a new city, play some excellent lacrosse, and find out more about lacrosse in France and how we can help grow the game in Europe as a whole.

Please fill out the form below and be the first to get new information about registration, the AFL, the Heritage Organisation, and how to help support the National Teams program!
